Turn the keyboard on

Keyboards are enabled in the Settings app, and Apple provides no deep link to that screen — the button inside TypeDock can only open TypeDock’s own settings page. The last taps are yours:

   Add TypeDock as a keyboard

   Go to Settings▸General▸Keyboard▸Keyboards▸Add New Keyboard… and choose TypeDock.

   Switch to it while typing

   In any app, hold the globe key on the keyboard and pick TypeDock. That’s the whole setup: typing, ;keyword expansion, snippet browse and search, fill-in forms, emoji, and key click sounds all work from here — no extra permission needed.

What Allow Full Access actually changes

The switch is optional, and the list of what it adds is short: key haptics, the Paste key on the keyboard’s dock, and {@clipboard@} placeholders filling from the current clipboard. That’s everything it adds. TypeDock never sends your typing anywhere — with the switch on or off.

Copied something and it isn’t in TypeDock?

That’s iOS, not a bug: there is no background clipboard capture on iPhone and iPad, because Apple doesn’t allow it. Clips arrive three ways:

• Open the app. TypeDock imports what you copied — and you can pull down on Clipboard to import right now.
• Share it. Send text, links, or images to TypeDock from the share sheet.
• Sync it. iCloud sync brings clips over from your Mac.

TypeDock is missing from the share sheet

The share extension accepts text, one web URL, or one image. If you don’t see it when sharing, it’s hidden, not gone: scroll to the end of the share sheet’s app-icon row, tap More, then Edit, and enable TypeDock. (The row is labeled TypeDock; the sheet it opens is titled Save to TypeDock.)
